This story dates back to a simpler time, a time when kids
played stickball; Pac Man was the popular neighborhood
pastime, and parachute pants were socially acceptable.

Gunther was a simple man, who lived a simple life. He
didn’t care for fancy cars, or a big house, he had a couple
of chickens, a wife, and two sons. He was happy living on his
farm, tending to his soya bean field.

As years past, soya bean growth skyrocketed, because a new
generation of health conscious vegan hippies with crazy names
like Skye and Halo graced the market. This made Gunther a
very wealthy man, who decided that money could not buy
him happiness.

So, Gunther packed his bags, and took a trip far away to
an exotic destination to find the meaning of life.

Once situated, he embarked on a “spiritual” tour. This
was a retreat in which Gunther was thrust into the
deepest lush of the north Canadian Artic, in order to
find himself, and the meaning of his now very wealthy
life.

As Gunther snow shoed along, alone, he had time to think and reflect. Did he want to grow soya beans for the rest of his life; did it really fulfill him? As he pondered this, Gunther spotted the largest fowl he had ever seen while camping on the shores of Wager Bay in Ukkusiksalik National Park.  He traced a large fowl family of unlimited quantity to a small island in the Canadian Northern Islands.

Now Gunther had been around chickens all his life, but this almost looked like a cross between a small bear and an Ostrich.

Gunther walked toward the creature, and was able to pet it, with little resistance.

Suddenly, Gunther had an epiphany. He had sold his small chickens before for a bundle, so technically a chicken 10 x the size would bring in 10 x the profits.

Once back on his home turf, Gunther went straight to work. He sold the soya bean farm, moved to Igloolik in Northern Canada and after months of hard work, and several trips “UP” to the Canadian north to retrieve several more of these large fresh chickens, the famous Wings Up!  company was born.

The public responded to the chicken wings with great applause, and soon, several more locations were opened.

Now Gunther is a very fulfilled man, spending his days farming these exotic northern chickens

So now you know the story of why our wings are bigger, juicier, and more succulent then the other guys.... our secret to success is really all in how fresh the meat tastes from the chicken growing in the artic and holding it’s flavour right to your plate!
